DC power jack repair / replacement
This service is for units where the power connector (DC power jack) is either broken or worn out, causing intermittent operation. Moving or wiggling the AC adapter plug may fix the issue temporarily, but it will get worse and eventually the unit may stop working completely.
Note: in some rare cases, the motherboard may have sustained too much damage, in which case a motherboard replacement will be necessary to complete the repair. Whenever possible, we will try to notify you of additional problems with the motherboard before proceeding with the DC power jack repair. |

BIOS repair / reprogramming
This service is for units that don't work properly or at all as a result of a corrupt BIOS. A BIOS chip (containing start-up instructions) can be damaged by improper / incomplete flashing (end user programming), power surge or even a virus!

Diagnostics / Evaluation (no longer offered)
Diagnostic service is needed when the problem is not obvious, so inspection & testing is done to determine which parts inside the unit have failed. Note: if the problem is intermittent or hard to reproduce (such as when the unit only fails under specific circumstances), the process may take longer and additional fees may apply. |

LCD backlight repair (no longer offered)
This service is for LCD screens that have a burned out or cracked CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp). Service includes disassembly, removal of old bulb, soldering the wires to the new bulb, reassembly and testing. |
